Island School Swimmers Shine at Hawaiian Swimming SYC Championship

Last weekend, six Island School athletes competed at the Hawaiian Swimming SYC Championship in Kona as part of Swim Kauai Aquatics. The Island School swimmers—Hannah '26, Sean '27, Eva-Rose '28, Charlie '30, Naia '31, and Dylan '31—all showcased their hard work and dedication at the championship, and achieved personal bests.

Hannah '26 competed in 6 individual events, achieving personal bests in each. She was also a key part of three relay teams, helping her team secure a 4th place finish.

Sean '27 competed in 10 events and delivering outstanding results. He earned a 2nd place finish in the 50 freestyle and a 3rd place finish in the 400 IM. In addition, he secured two 4th place finishes, one 6th place, and two 7th place finishes in his individual events. 

Eva-Rose '28 competed in 7 individual events, finishing strong with a 5th place finish in the 100 freestyle and securing spots in the top 8 in her other events. She also competed in 5 relay events, helping her team secure 3rd place in the 800 Free, 4th place in the 200 Medley, 6th place in the 200 Free, and 4th place in the 400 Free.

Charlie '30 made her mark in her first state meet, competing in 4 individual events and securing an impressive 8th place finish. She also swam in 4 relays.

Dylan '31 had a memorable state meet debut, competing in six events and finishing in the top 12 in each, making a strong statement in his debut.

Naia '31 also had an incredible first state meet, competing in four events and delivering strong performances.
