Shearwater Release

This week, our 4th grade class went to Lydgate to watch the release of rehabilitated seabirds by volunteers from Save our Shearwaters. Last week, visitors from the Kauai Endangered Seabird Recovery Project visited Island School to talk to the 4th Grade about endangered seabirds and how we can help protect them. Students got to see a rescued seabird up close and watch them be released over the ocean. For a video recap of their field trip from DLNR, click here!
