Special Guests in Middle School

This week, Michael Thompson and Rob Evans, two notable authors and school consultants, visited Island School to present to students, faculty, board of trustee members, and parents. Student assemblies were divided between the Middle and High School. The Middle School assembly, Best Friends, Worst Enemies, was focused on interpersonal relationships.

Thompson is the author and co-author of several books, including the New York Times bestseller, Raising Cain: Protecting the Emotional Life of Boys and has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and more. Evans is a child and family therapist who has authored three books and consulted with schools throughout the world. Together, their most recent publication is Hopes and Fears, Working with Today's Independent School Parents.
