Character Merit Awards for Quarter 2

Today, Upper School announced the Peer Nominations for Quarter 2, as part of the Character Recognition Program done through advisories. These merits and explanations of exemplary behavior shown by students have been recorded and approved as official notes in MyVoyager, informing the student, parent, and advisor.

These Peer Nominations are based on the  Quarter 2 Hawaiian Values of  Kuleana & ‘Imi Naʻauao.  Peers have shown their appreciation of all of these students through the nominations process. Our process also supported character development of participating students through the recognition and expression of positive character traits in others.

KULEANA - One’s personal sense of responsibility.  “I accept my responsibilities, and I will be held accountable.”  What are you called to do? Students will make meaningful contributions to their community by owning their mistakes and doing their best. They will meet expectations with grace, humility, and positivity, while being fully present in mind, body, and spirit. By being intentional and positive, students will volunteer selflessly and determine their own values and boundaries. Additionally, they will strive to leave every place, person, and situation better than they found it, ensuring their actions have a positive and lasting impact.

They will seek to understand more deeply by asking questions and listening actively. By observing and taking note of their surroundings, students will stay attuned to their environment.
