Transition in Development Office

Important news about our Development Office from Nancy Nagramada - last month, Suzy May let me know that while she has truly valued her time with Island School, due to family circumstances she needs to return to Wyoming to support her parents. Upon hearing about her needs, we shifted into a mode to be supportive of this major change for Suzy personally as well as immediately work on a transition plan for the Development Office.

I am pleased to let you know that Megan Clifton will shift into the role of Interim Development Director starting October 16. We are thrilled that we have such a strong team that Megan can seamlessly transition into the role. In addition to her membership on our staff since 2023, Megan is a proud Island School parent of Boone '33 and MaryBeth '35. Megan comes with a wealth of experience in financial services and a clear career decision to work in the nonprofit world. She holds her MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania as well as her B.A. in Art History from Boston College. We are so very lucky to have her as the next leader of our Development Team.

Genevieve Foster will continue in her role as Director of Communications. Alaina Mandel, who is part-time in her special projects role, will take on more hours as needed to support our Development work. And you will see an announcement for a full-time Development Associate position to be published soon and to begin next month.

It has been my privilege to have had a year to work with Suzy as she helped us move our Development Department to new heights. Please wish her well sometime before her final day on October 25, and please join me in congratulating Megan on her new role.
