Youth Mayors Track Meet
Elementary School parents, please save the date for the Mayor’s Youth Track Meet on Saturday, April 12, at the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex in Kapa‘a. Island School students will participate in the East Division meet due to renovations at Vidinha Stadium.
Practice and Participation:
• Practice sessions will be held during PE classes over the next few weeks.
• Kindergarten and first-grade students who sign up can participate in the 100-meter dash, softball throw, and standing broad jump. Participation in all three events is optional.
• Events start at 8:50 AM, beginning with kindergarten and first-grade events, followed by grades 2 through 5.
Registration:
• If your child is interested in joining the Island School team, please complete the registration form attached and return it to their homeroom teacher or Ms. Emily.
Footwear Requirements:
• Athletic shoes are required by the county for participation.
• Ensure your child has proper athletic shoes before the meet.
• Athletic shoes are also required for PE classes; please have your child bring them to school.
