Paddling Adventure with Second Grade!

This week, Second Grade took a trip to the Kaiola Canoe Club. Second grade students learned to paddle from Jed Gushman and Luke Evslin, coaches of Island School's high school paddling team, as well as from Island School high schoolers on the paddling team. Students also built their own miniature canoes from tin foil, and tested how many pennies they could hold until they sank.
