State Science Olympiad

Fourteen middle school and three high school students participated in the State Science Olympiad last weekend at UH-Mānoa. Island School earned an impressive fourth place overall. Dawson '29 and Tanner '29 secured second place in Optics., Sofia '29 and Melia '30 placed third in Crimebusters, while Max '28, Mikaela '28, and Oliver '29 took third in Experimental Design. 

The students faced tough competition from ʻIolani, Punahou, and Pearl City Highlands Intermediate but showed resilience despite some travel challenges impacting their builds.The coaches are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support from families throughout this year’s Science Olympiad. Their encouragement and involvement played a key role in the students' success.
