Prestigious scholarship awarded to Island School senior!
This week, senior Gabe Kelley was awarded the prestigious NROTC (Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps) Scholarship, which is a full ride scholarship to attend the university of his choice. This scholarship was awarded to 22 students throughout the country, three of those students from Hawaiʻi, and only one from Kauaʻi - Island School's own Gabe Kelley. The NROTC scholarship offers a path for Gabe to be commissioned as an US Navy or US Marine Corps officer while earning his college degree.
