Scaling Mount Everest in 6th grade

In 6th Grade Geography, students learned about the tallest feature on Earth: Mount Everest! Students completed simulations to mimic 4 sections of the climb to the summit. We carried our equipment to Base Camp, climbed over ice chunks at the Khumbu Icefall, and survived the Death Zone. At each point in the climb, students learned about what real life climbers go through to take this exciting, but grueling, adventure.
