Ho'okupu and Ed-Venture Days

This week, our Middle School participated in Hoʻokupu and Ed-Venture days, working in collaboration with community organizations across all sides of the island. On Thursday, students were separated into groups that traveled to either Waipā, Mālama Hulēʻia, Island School's Main Campus, or Ku Mano I Ke Ala to participate in community service opportunities. On Friday, the Middle School Ed-Venture opportunity focused on incorporating grade level content by subject into a day excursion. Teachers are designing experiences that connect content areas to relevant places on Kauaʻi to deepen their understanding of their academic learning.
