We strongly encourage new and returning families to set up an account in LunchTab for students' lunch purchases. Starting in the 2023-24 school year, Island School is using a new software provider for cafeteria purchases and payments. The LunchTab System is simple and easy to use. Parents deposit money into a family LunchTab account, and as their student goes through the service line, the cost of the purchase is deducted from the account when the student’s ID is scanned. One LunchTab family account includes parents and all children. No separate accounts are required for siblings.
When an account is set up, parents will have full visibility of spending and the ability to replenish funds on the LunchTab website. Deposits can be made at any time by credit card through LunchTab. They can also be made by cash or by check payable to Island School at the Front Office between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Parents will receive low balance alerts, which will be sent via email when the account balance reaches a pre-defined amount, such as $20.00. Students will be notified when their balance is low or negative as they check out, but will never be denied purchases.
A school food account can be established through the LunchTab website (https://ischool.lunchtab.io/). Once you're on the LunchTab website, click on 'Forgot Password '. This will prompt you to enter your email address. You'll receive an email with a link to set up an account shortly after that.
A monthly school lunch menu will be posted on our school website as well as in The Compass, our weekly newsletter for families.
