Enrichment class offerings vary among the three levels, elementary, middle and high. Classes in art, music, computer tech, Hawaiian Studies and physical education begin in pre-kindergarten, with drama added in grade three. Students take these classes throughout the year through grade five. In Middle School, students take year-long enrichment classes, chosen from art, chorus, drama and computer tech. Physical Education, a year-long class, is required in all middle school grades. In high school, enrichment classes are referred to as ‘electives.’ Requirements for graduation in each discipline are outlined in the Curriculum Guide.
See the Island School Curriculum Guide for detailed descriptions of enrichment courses.
